2nd Annual Real Hope Tribal Christmas is almost here!!!

That is all we have left folks.... just a few days to get involved with our annual Tribal Christmas event!! We are almost half way there with the support we need for this event. If you can sponsor a family of 7 for 25 dollars please contact us. This gives them a nice meal, a new article of clothing for each person attending, and other gifts.

Thank you to all who have sent boxes of toys to India. These things are greatly appreciated.

If you would like to help or would like more information email us at ravi_evie@yahoo.com

Thanks, God Bless, and MERRY CHRISTMAS
Ravi, Evie, and Jeshu Kumar

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, We drove down to LA with Evie's Parents for a family reunion with the Gillies clan (Evie's mom's side) There were around 40 members in attendance and 30+ missing.

We left 6am Tuesday morning and drove for 10 hours before stopping for the night. We got up the morning and ended up stuck in a traffic jam after only one hour of driving. A power line crashed over both sides of the freeway blocking traffic for 12 hours. Evie had to pull a u-turn in the medium and head North to a local country road in order to get around the block. It was just 10 miles of blockage... but it took us 3 hours to drive it. They had both North and South traveling on the same small road. This made us so late that we hit LA at rush hour. Finally we reached our place 5 hours late. We met the family for a dinner out at Olive Garden, then called it a night.

We got up had a nice breakfast, then headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Gillies place for a Thanksgiving dinner. There were MANY people for Ravi and Jeshu to have to meet, but they both handled it well.

We had a great dinner, that ended with a time where Great Grandpa said a prayer for each of the great grandkids

Jeshu had enough of the prayer, but decided that Great Grandma's face was fun to play with

The next day, we had a few people over to the place we were staying for another family dinner.

Then the next day we were off back to Roseburg. We made the long drive in a day... It was a wonderful Thanksgiving

November Tribal Visit

Yes we know we are behind on our blog. Life has been busy and with Evie working, she does not have the time like she use to, to update the blog. But here are a few pictures from October.

We had a great visit in October. We continued on our series in our Children's Program. This month we talked about Adam and Eve. This was a great lesson and our kids enjoyed it.

We took many photos of the kids. Here is one of our little girls Kavipriya. She is among the 40 children in need of a sponsor. She was not to happy to get her picture taken.

We continued on meeting the lower tribal area. These people are in real need of help. They have the same needs that our kids have. They have a limited number of clothing, and the clothes they do have are thread barren.

We also have the opportunity to help some of the village people who live close to the tribal village. There are two families in need of help. There are two families with orphans in them
The first one is a little boy and girl who lost both parents earlier this year. They are being raised by their elderly grandma.
The second group is three girls who also lost both their parents this year and they are being raised by their elderly grandfather. Both families are in desperate need and can not provide for their grand children. They are planning on making them start working in order to bring some income into the household. The kids range in age for 5-10, very young to start working. If we can provide some help to these families, we would love it. We desire to provide some basic monthly food and toiletry needs, as well as help with clothing, and school fees. This would help the families to be able to keep their grandchildren in their homes.

Sorry this is so late and short. Please be praying for these needs that we have
